That quote has never felt more real.

This morning, former Mayor and respected attorney David Baram sent a message to the Town Clerk raising serious legal concerns about how the referendum results are being interpreted.

He cited a federal court decision that directly relates to Bloomfield’s Charter β€” and based on that precedent, the referendum should be considered valid and passed because the number of β€œNo” votes exceeded 15% of the number of "Yes" votes.

You can read his message for yourself below.

What matters most is this: when you see something that’s wrong, you step up. And that’s exactly what Attorney Baram did. Regardless of your position, standing up for truth, fairness, and the rule of law is what strengthens a community.

We’re not done here.

Stay engaged. Ask questions. Demand answers. Because again β€” it ain’t over till it’s over.

The Hartford Courant article below helps reinforce this point. Stay tuned. (i’m actually looking to find the judge ruling.)
